Giving Hope, One Rescue at a Time
Pittie Heart is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to rescuing dogs and cats in need. Since our inception in 2018, we have been driven by our mission to foster a community of respect, responsibility, and compassion for all animals. We aim to educate the public, advocate for animal rights, and nurture lifelong supporters of animal welfare causes. Through active engagement and education, we work to empower individuals to treat animals with kindness and address pressing issues in animal welfare.
16,000+ Animals Rescued: Each year, we save thousands of animals from shelters where their chances were bleak. Community Spay/Neuter Programs: We’ve fixed over 300 owned animals and vaccinated over 600 annually, helping to control the pet population. Community Outreach: Engaging with local communities to promote responsible pet ownership and the importance of adoption.
Rescue operation: Thousands of animals rescued from the Houston area streets and overcrowded shelters each year. Transportation Services: Our USDA-certified transport program ensures that every animal safely reaches their new foster or forever home.
Involved with the team since its inception in 2018, Alayna is the heart and soul of the organization, driven by her deep commitment to animal welfare. Her journey into rescue began as a hobby, sparked by the urgent need she witnessed in her community. She recalls, “I saw people posting on social media about dogs in terrible conditions, with no help in sight, and shelters overflowing. I started rescuing just a few at a time with friends, and it quickly grew to over 1,000 lives saved in the first year alone.”
Director of Operations & Finance
Jenelle oversees the day-to-day operations of Three Little Pitties Rescue, ensuring that all programs run smoothly and efficiently. Her journey with the rescue began in 2018 when her then 9-year-old daughter expressed a desire to volunteer at a shelter. After being turned away due to her age, Jenelle discovered Three Little Pitties Rescue through Petfinder, where they found the perfect opportunity to give back by fostering animals in need.

Director of Adoptions
Cynthia grew up in the Latin Houston community, where seeing strays was common. It wasn't until she moved to the East Coast and adopted her own dogs that she recognized the extent of the stray and neglected animal population in Houston. A life-changing encounter with an emaciated pit bull near a busy highway spurred her passion for helping underdogs—those strong breeds and medical cases often overlooked.
